Sugarfoot & Peaches is probably the only place in Fort Scott where you can get sweet potato french fries and boiled peanuts. The building use to be a polished stones store and later a bait shop. The owners have done a great job of fixing the place up and it has a very nice atmosphere and style. The pig motif from the roof is continued on the inside. There are quite a few interesting pieces of local history on the walls including a framed paper sack that once carried Fort Scott Cement.

The food is good with an extensive menu. Dinners come served on trays covered with wax paper. They have three BBQ sauces: Sweet, Spicy and Hot. Both the turkey and beef BBQ dinners were very good, but the sweet potato fries were what really set the meal apart.
